Tapos Gunsmithing is owned and solely operated by professional Gunsmith Alex Christenson. Alex is a Gunsmith in Iowa, but since Tapos Gunsmithing is federally licensed, firearms can be serviced from all over the United States. 

Tapos Gunsmithing is a type 07 FFL, class II SOT which means even NFA firearms are welcome in the shop. This includes silencers, short barreled rifles (SBRs), short barreled shotguns (SBSs), and machine guns. Tapos Gunsmithing is fully licensed and insured to safely and correctly service every firearm to come through the shop.

Tapos Gunsmithing, LLC offers a range of services, including repair, servicing, restoration, machining, appraisals, consignments, and 3rd party transfer services from other dealers and between private parties. 

Gunsmith Services

Gunsmith Alex Christenson is a professional and experienced Gunsmith with Associates Degrees in Firearm Technology and Engineering Technology along with several other professional certificates and accreditations and experience in the trades that can perform everything from basic cleaning and maintenance to custom builds and modifications.

He can also provide repair and restoration services and can help you find the right accessories or replacement parts for your firearm. Fear not if parts are out of stock or obsolete, Alex's fabrication and machining skills allow him to make new parts from scratch. Don't let the age of the firearm be the reason it stays broken!
